recoup-platform-api-access — Claude Code skill: overview & setup
Connects your assistant directly to the Recoup API and external tools. Lets you fetch roster data, inspect metrics, and trigger connector actions.
npx skills add recoupable/skills --skill recoup-platform-api-access -a claude-codeWhat recoup-platform-api-access does
This skill acts as the foundational data layer for Recoup operations. The assistant first checks for connected MCP tools like list_artists to bind subsequent actions to valid account IDs. If an operation lacks an MCP equivalent, it falls back to direct REST requests using curl with a Bearer token. Authorization requires RECOUP_API_KEY or RECOUP_ACCESS_TOKEN in your environment.
The logic strictly forbids hallucinating roster rows, missing metrics, or industry averages. When a metric connector is offline, the skill scrapes available public social numbers or surfaces an OAuth authorization link via Composio. Plain truth beats invented figures. The API also handles email delivery from the agent address and file edits across Google Docs and Sheets. Without active MCP tools or API credentials, unauthenticated requests are stopped on the spot.
What it helps with
- query artist roster records and attached social accounts via API
- execute external connector tasks in Google Docs and Google Sheets
- scrape public metrics from TikTok and Instagram profiles
- send markdown summary emails using the platform email endpoint
Example prompts for the agent
- Fetch my Recoup roster and list all linked social accounts
- Run the public scrape action for the artist's Instagram profile
- Send the project status report by email using Recoup
