What obsidian-kb-artifacts does

The skill covers format and derived artifacts only. It formats Obsidian Markdown, builds wikilinks and embeds, lays out registry tables, generates and validates canvas files, and can produce Bases. It also handles Obsidian CLI operations and repairs links inside canonical notes.

Under the hood it ships reference docs: references/OBSIDIAN-MARKDOWN.md, references/CANVAS.md, references/BASES.md, references/REGISTRY-TABLES.md, references/LINK-REPAIR.md, references/CLI.md. .base generation is explicit-only, and Maps/ holds derived artifacts. Link repair is meant to strengthen existing canonical notes rather than spawn new ones.

Where it breaks: literature canvas edges keep their evidence strength only when the source notes actually provide it. Notes that are abstract-only, webpage placeholders or unsupported produce no trustworthy claim edges. Worth checking your sources before you build the graph.

What it helps with

  • format Obsidian notes into consistent Markdown
  • wire up wikilinks and embeds between notes
  • generate and validate a canvas file
  • build a registry table from notes
  • repair broken links in canonical notes

Example prompts for the agent

  • format this note in Obsidian style and add wikilinks
  • build a canvas from the notes in Maps/ and validate it
  • repair the broken links in my canonical notes
