grill-me · julianoczkowski — Claude Code skill: get grilled on your plan
Interviews you about a plan or design until every branch of the decision tree is resolved. Useful before you start building.
npx skills add julianoczkowski/designer-skills --skill grill-me -a claude-codeWhat grill-me does
The skill turns the agent into an interviewer. It walks down the design tree and resolves dependencies between decisions one by one until you share the same picture. Every question comes with a recommended answer, so you still do the thinking.
If a question can be answered by reading the codebase, the agent reads it instead of asking. Same for existing components, styles and design tokens in the project. That makes the skill far more useful inside a repo that already has something to lean on; on an empty project you will get more questions.
Install takes one command with npx skills add, and the skill file lands at ~/.claude/skills/grill-me/SKILL.md. It also ships for Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Gemini CLI and OpenCode. Licensed under Apache-2.0.
What it helps with
- stress-test a landing page idea before writing code
- surface contradictions in an approach to a settings page
- walk the decision tree of a dashboard and close dependencies
- pull hidden assumptions out of a rough portfolio sketch
- make the agent read the project code instead of guessing
Example prompts for the agent
- Grill me on this landing page idea
- I want to build a dashboard for tracking team metrics. Challenge my thinking.
- Stress-test my approach to this settings page
