What groove-utilities-memory-log-weekly does

This skill reads the week’s files from .groove/memory/daily/ and creates or updates .groove/memory/weekly/YYYY-Www.md. The result groups recurring themes, meaningful completions, and lessons drawn across the entries instead of repeating raw notes. Its layout comes from skills/groove-utilities-memory-log-weekly/templates/weekly.md.

An existing weekly file is revised rather than replaced wholesale. When the target week has no daily files, the skill records that condition and exits cleanly. Run it on the last weekday of the week or after an explicit request. Its permitted tools are Read, Write, Edit, Glob, Grep, Bash(git:*), and AskUserQuestion.

What it helps with

  • roll up daily notes into a weekly file
  • spot recurring themes across the week
  • record significant completed work
  • synthesise lessons from several entries

# groove-utilities-memory-log-weekly

## Outcome

`.groove/memory/weekly/YYYY-Www.md` is created or updated with a roll-up of the week's daily files. Sections cover themes, key outcomes, and learnings — no raw detail duplication.

## Acceptance Criteria

- File exists at `.groove/memory/weekly/YYYY-Www.md` (ISO week format, e.g. `2026-W09`)
- Themes section identifies recurring topics from daily entries
- Key outcomes section lists significant completions from the week
- Learnings section synthesises patterns and insights across the week
- Content is rolled up from daily files — not duplicated raw detail

## Constraints

- Memory path is always `.groove/memory/`
- Only run on the last weekday of the week, or when user explicitly requests
- Roll up from that week's daily files in `.groove/memory/daily/`
- If no daily files exist for the week, note that and exit gracefully
- Use template at `skills/groove-utilities-memory-log-weekly/templates/weekly.md` for file structure
- If file already exists, update rather than overwrite
