docs-seeker — Claude Code skill: what it does, how to install
Finds technical documentation using the llms.txt standard, context7.com, and Repomix repository packing. Helpful when an agent needs library APIs.
npx skills add mrgoonie/claudekit-skills --skill docs-seeker -a claude-codeWhat docs-seeker does
The skill manages technical documentation discovery across libraries and frameworks. It first looks for llms.txt feeds, prioritizing patterns on context7.com for GitHub repositories and domain paths. When specific features are requested, it passes topic query parameters directly to the source URL.
For multiple documentation links, the workflow launches parallel Explorer agents to inspect separate sections simultaneously. If an llms.txt file does not exist, the skill switches to finding the GitHub repository and packaging its structure with repomix into a single XML file.
The repository fallback requires Git and a global installation of repomix via npm. Without that utility present in the local environment, codebase packing will fail and force the agent into general web research.
What it helps with
- fetch library documentation using the llms.txt standard
- pack GitHub repositories into structured docs with Repomix
- read multiple manual pages simultaneously using Explorer subagents
- retrieve feature-specific documentation using topic queries
Example prompts for the agent
- Find the Next.js caching documentation using llms.txt
- Look up the latest API reference for better-auth
- Analyze the imagick repository documentation using repomix
