dashboard-creator — Claude Code skill: HTML dashboards with KPIs
Builds a single-page HTML dashboard with KPI cards, charts, progress bars and data tables. Handy when you need to show metrics without a frontend framework.
npx skills add mhattingpete/claude-skills-marketplace --skill dashboard-creator -a claude-codeWhat dashboard-creator does
The skill lays out what a dashboard is made of and ships markup patterns for each piece. Four blocks: KPI cards with a metric name, value, change percentage and trend icon; bar, pie and line charts drawn in SVG or CSS; progress bars; and data tables. Output goes to [name]-dashboard.html.
The workflow runs in order: pull the metrics and data, arrange the cards in a grid, generate the charts, add completion indicators. Semantic colors are the recommendation — green for positive, red for negative, blue for neutral. The card example keeps its styling inline in a <style> block: system font, light background, a shadow under each tile.
Charts are hand-built from <rect> elements inside <svg>, so the skill stays within SVG primitives. Interactive tooltips or zoom you add yourself. The upside is zero dependencies — no charting library, no build step.
What it helps with
- turn a metrics dataset into a viewable page
- color-code growth and decline at a glance
- draw a bar or pie chart without a charting library
- put a data table and progress bars on one screen
- ship a monitoring interface as a single HTML file
Example prompts for the agent
- Create a dashboard from the metrics in this CSV
- Show a KPI visualization for revenue and conversion
- Generate a performance dashboard with charts
