What core-actionbook does

Actionbook keeps prepared information about web pages, so an agent can work from structured page details rather than parse all of the HTML. The skill searches for instructions by keyword, retrieves a selected page’s details, then passes its selectors to a browser automation tool.

Page details can include DOM structure, CSS or XPath selectors, element types, and permitted actions such as typing or clicking. Search can use vector, fulltext, or hybrid modes, with filters for sources and relevance. This is an internal skill, not a direct user command; another workflow must request it.

What it helps with

  • find page instructions with a keyword search
  • retrieve element selectors for browser automation
  • check which actions are permitted for page elements

Example prompts for the agent

  • In the Rust workflow, use Actionbook to find Airbnb search-page selectors and pass them to the browser tool.
  • Use Actionbook to retrieve the Google sign-in page details for browser automation.
