content-rewrite — Claude Code skill: rewrite copy per platform
Turns one article or announcement into versions for LinkedIn, X, Reddit, an English blog and WeChat. Useful when the same material has to go out in several places.
npx skills add zc277584121/marketing-skills --skill content-rewrite -a claude-codeWhat content-rewrite does
The skill takes source content — an article, a blog post, an announcement — and produces a version for each target platform. Every platform has its own guide under references/: LinkedIn wants a professional tone plus an image or link, X caps free accounts at 280 characters, Reddit punishes anything that reads like marketing, the English blog needs structure and SEO, WeChat leans on storytelling and emotional hooks.
Before writing anything, the skill asks two questions: should the piece use first person (a personal story) or third person (plain facts), and which platforms you want. That first answer matters more than it looks — voice decides how the text lands on every platform. The skill also draws a line between adapting and translating: you rethink the content for that audience instead of reformatting the same paragraphs.
What ships is markdown reference files, no scripts and no external services. The style pass leans on the companion remove-ai-style skill, so if that one is missing from your set, cleaning up formulaic phrasing is on you.
What it helps with
- rewrite one article for five platforms at once
- fit an idea into 280 characters for X
- strip marketing tone before posting to Reddit
- add structure and SEO to an English blog version
- pick the narrative voice before writing starts
Example prompts for the agent
- Rewrite this announcement for LinkedIn and X, first person
- Turn this article into a Reddit version without the marketing tone
- Adapt this for an English blog and WeChat, third person

Questions about content-rewrite
How do I install content-rewrite in Claude?
Run npx skills add zc277584121/marketing-skills --skill content-rewrite -a claude-code. The skill file then sits at ~/.claude/skills/content-rewrite/SKILL.md.
What does content-rewrite do?
It rewrites source content for the platforms you pick: LinkedIn, X, Reddit, an English blog, WeChat. Each platform comes with its own rules for tone, format and length.
What do I need to provide before it runs?
The skill first asks about narrative voice — first or third person — and which platforms to target. It waits for both answers before writing.
