What cli-contexts does

This skill guides AI assistants on using the omniroute CLI to inspect and configure context pipelines, RTK filters, and session lifecycles. It enables token budget adjustments, context switching via omniroute contexts use, and monitoring of active relay settings.

The skill provides subcommands for three operational areas. The context-eng group handles RTK filtering, testing patterns against files, and setting shrinkage aggression parameters. The contexts group manages remote endpoints, tokens, scopes, and JSON export or import. The sessions group tracks and terminates active conversations.

Commands require the omniroute package installed globally via npm install -g omniroute or executed through npx omniroute. Stored plaintext credentials can be migrated into the operating system keychain using omniroute contexts migrate.

What it helps with

  • switch active context environments using omniroute contexts use
  • tune token budgets and context shrinkage parameters from the CLI
  • test RTK filter patterns against target files
  • inspect and expire conversation sessions
  • export and import context configurations as JSON files

Example prompts for the agent

  • Show the active context details with omniroute contexts current
  • Set the context token budget to 4000 using omniroute context-eng set --token-budget 4000
  • List and expire active sessions with omniroute sessions expire-all
