What cli-anything-anygen does

The skill connects agents to the AnyGen OpenAPI for generating presentation slides and documents from plain text. Agents can upload reference files to obtain a file_token, run task preparation, query non-blocking status, and download finished deliverables with preview thumbnails.

It operates in two modes: an interactive REPL with tab completion or machine-readable JSON output via the --json flag. The tool tracks project state in JSON files and preserves session history with up to 50 undo and redo levels. Configuration commands manage API credentials and settings directly.

Using this tool requires Python 3.10+ and a system installation of anygen. Without that underlying package, the CLI cannot execute tasks, which means you must prepare the local environment before delegating jobs to the agent.

What it helps with

  • generate slides and diagrams from text prompts
  • manage AnyGen API generation tasks through terminal commands
  • upload reference assets to obtain a file_token
  • automate content generation pipelines using structured JSON output

Example prompts for the agent

  • Initialize a new project with cli-anything-anygen and generate a slide deck
  • Check task status using cli-anything-anygen --json and download the result
  • Upload a reference document using cli-anything-anygen file upload
