character-design · fal-ai-community — Claude Code skill: what it does, how to install
Create character images and video while keeping a character’s defining features consistent. The skill covers reference sheets, expression sets, outfit changes, and edits based on existing images.
npx skills add fal-ai-community/skills --skill character-design -a claude-codeWhat character-design does
The skill separates a character’s fixed identity traits—such as face, hair, build, and signature clothing—from details that can change for each shot. Add an expression, pose, setting, or camera angle without casually rewriting the identity description. It can guide reference sheets, outfit variations, and character video.
Its workflow uses genmedia to inspect endpoint schemas and pricing, upload reference images, generate stills, and download results. Video jobs run asynchronously. When a generated result changes the character’s identity, the skill calls for strengthening the description or switching to a reference-based edit. Unsupported endpoint fields cannot be used.
What it helps with
- keep a character’s appearance consistent across images
- make an expression sheet from an approved face reference
- create outfit variations without changing the character’s identity
- turn an approved character still into a video
Example prompts for the agent
- Make an expression sheet from this portrait while keeping the character’s facial features consistent.
- Create several outfit variations, keeping the character’s hairstyle and build unchanged.
- Turn this approved character frame into a video shot.
