canva-design-feedback — Codex skill: what it does, how to install
This skill reviews Canva designs and returns ordered feedback on hierarchy, copy, spacing, readability, and accessibility. It helps when a slide, poster, or flyer needs a clear critique.
npx skills add openai/plugins --skill canva-design-feedback -a codexWhat canva-design-feedback does
The skill reviews a Canva design page by page. It checks visual hierarchy, layout, copy, consistency, legibility, contrast, accessibility, and fit for the intended format. Findings receive a severity and a concrete fix, with the most important issues shown first.
It uses Canva:get-design for the design record, Canva:get-design-thumbnail to inspect the rendered appearance, and Canva:get-design-content for text. A read-only transaction can provide element positions, dimensions, and text; the workflow then ends it with Canva:cancel-editing-transaction. The thumbnail remains the main basis for colour and typography judgements because transaction style data may be incomplete.
This is a read-only skill: it never edits or commits changes to the design. Requested changes can be handed to canva-edit-design or canva-implement-feedback, while some font or background edits still require manual work in Canva.
What it helps with
- review the hierarchy across design pages
- spot crowded spacing and alignment issues
- check text legibility over images
- find unclear copy and wording errors
- rank design fixes by severity
Example prompts for the agent
