canva-implement-feedback — Claude skill: apply Canva review comments
This skill reads every comment thread on a Canva design, makes the clear-cut edits through the API, and lists what still needs a human.
npx skills add openai/plugins --skill canva-implement-feedback -a codexWhat canva-implement-feedback does
The skill pulls all comment threads on a design, reads the replies and the current text on each page, then sorts feedback into three buckets: changes it can make, threads already closed, and requests the API cannot handle. It shows you the plan and waits for one approval. After that it edits without asking again.
Under the hood it drives the Canva Editing API. Text can be replaced wholesale or by find-and-replace, and you get font size, weight, style, colour, alignment, links and lists. Images and videos can be swapped or inserted, elements moved and resized, the design title updated. Edits run as one transaction: Canva:start-editing-transaction, then Canva:perform-editing-operations, then Canva:commit-editing-transaction.
What the API will not do: change the font family, add new text boxes, touch backgrounds or gradients, add or reorder pages, change animations or opacity, group elements. Those comments land in a manual checklist with the slide number and the reviewer's name. If two reviewers contradict each other, the skill shows both sides and leaves the call to you. It needs Canva access through the Canva:* MCP tools.
At the end it replies in each thread via Canva:reply-to-comment so reviewers can see their notes were handled.
What it helps with
- work through reviewer comments on a deck and apply the clear-cut edits
- separate API-supported changes from ones that need manual work in Canva
- surface two reviewers' conflicting notes and let the user decide
- update text, fonts and images across slides in a single transaction
- reply in comment threads after the edits are committed
Example prompts for the agent
- implement feedback on my deck in Canva
- read all the comments on this design and fix what you can
- apply review feedback to this presentation
