What aws-cloud-services does

aws-cloud-services covers S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, EC2, RDS, IAM, and CloudFormation. It is aimed at tasks such as serverless design, object storage, access control, infrastructure as code, event-driven systems, and moving applications to AWS.

The material includes AWS SDK for JavaScript v3 with modular clients, operation commands, and middleware. It also explains regions, Availability Zones, IAM roles and policies, secret handling, and endpoint setup. AWS credentials must be reachable by the project for API calls; the SDK can look in environment variables, shared configuration files, or an IAM role.

The skill is available for Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Gemini CLI, and OpenCode. Its examples use JavaScript and TypeScript, so the project stack matters when applying them.

What it helps with

  • design an AWS architecture for an application
  • configure file storage with S3
  • build a serverless flow with Lambda
  • define least-privilege IAM policies
  • describe cloud resources in CloudFormation

Example prompts for the agent

  • Design an AWS setup for this application using S3, Lambda, and DynamoDB.
  • Review the IAM policies and suggest the minimum permissions for this service.
  • Write an AWS SDK for JavaScript v3 example that uploads an object to S3.
