What google-ads-assets does

The skill handles the busywork around Google Ads assets. It builds sitelinks, callouts, structured snippets and image assets, and for Performance Max it drafts a creative brief. It also runs an audit over assets you already have.

Under the hood it is a wrapper. The skill file itself only points the agent at the canonical workflow in google-ads/assets/WORKFLOW.md inside the plugin. That path is normalized from the plugin root, and every relative reference resolves against google-ads/assets/. If the canonical file cannot be read, the skill stops and reports a packaging error instead of falling back to a similarly named skill from another plugin. Worth checking your plugin layout if you install by hand.

The argument comes from argument-hint: a campaign, an asset group, or a phrase like "build an asset brief". Install is one npx skills add line for Claude, Codex, Cursor, Gemini CLI and OpenCode; GitHub Copilot uses gh skill install.

What it helps with

  • build sitelinks and callouts for a campaign
  • audit existing assets for problems
  • draft a Performance Max creative brief
  • generate structured snippets
  • assemble image assets for an asset group

Example prompts for the agent

  • build sitelinks and callouts for the Summer Sale campaign
  • run an asset audit on my Performance Max asset group
  • draft an asset brief for a new campaign

# Canonical NotFair workflow

Read [`../../google-ads/assets/WORKFLOW.md`](../../google-ads/assets/WORKFLOW.md) completely, then follow it as the active workflow. Normalize that path from the directory containing this wrapper: the canonical file is `<plugin-root>/google-ads/assets/WORKFLOW.md`, not `<plugin-root>/skills/google-ads-assets/assets/SKILL.md`. Resolve every relative reference from the canonical file against `<plugin-root>/google-ads/assets/`. If the canonical file cannot be read, stop and report the packaging error; never substitute a similarly named skill from another plugin.
