audit-integrity — GitHub Copilot skill: what it does, how to install
Enforces evidence verification, prevents finding suppression, and gates security reports with a score of at least 8 out of 10 during audits.
npx skills add github/awesome-copilot --skill audit-integrityWhat audit-integrity does
This skill adds strict quality gates to security code reviews, threat modeling, SAST, and SCA. It prohibits fabricating vulnerabilities or dismissing valid security issues without hard proof. Every reported finding must include verified source locations and taint traces.
The skill relies on seven modular reference files. When the audit scope is unclear, the agent asks at most two clarifying questions. If a tool fails or search returns empty, it retries once rather than assuming the codebase is secure. Before delivery, the draft report must pass a self-reflection gate scoring 8 out of 10 or higher.
Install this if you demand verifiable security reports with zero rationalizations. Skip it if you only need a quick, informal sanity check on a small pull request.
What it helps with
- verify code locations and taint flows for every reported security finding
- prevent rationalization or suppression of valid vulnerabilities
- enforce an audit quality threshold of at least 8 out of 10 before delivery
- handle scanner tool failures with a mandatory single retry and gap documentation
Example prompts for the agent
- Run a security code review on this service using the audit-integrity rules
- Execute a SAST scan and verify taint traces before finalizing the report
- Score our security findings against the self-reflection quality gate threshold

Questions about audit-integrity
How to install audit-integrity in GitHub Copilot?
Run gh skill install github/awesome-copilot audit-integrity or npx skills add github/awesome-copilot --skill audit-integrity. You can also place the file directly into .github/skills/audit-integrity/SKILL.md.
What does audit-integrity do?
It enforces strict evidence verification, anti-rationalization guards, and a two-pass review loop for security audits and threat modeling.
What is the quality gate threshold in audit-integrity?
The draft report must score at least 8 out of 10 across all categories in the self-reflection rubric before final delivery.

Load each file when you reach its execution phase: | Component | Reference File | Purpose | | ---------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------- | | Clarification Protocol | [references/clarification-protocol.md](references/clarification-protocol.md) | Ask a maximum of 2 targeted questions when scope is not clear | | Anti-Rationalization Guard | [references/anti-rationalization-guard.md](references/anti-rationalization-guard.md) | Prohibited rationalizations and mandatory responses for findings | | Self-Critique Loop | [references/self-critique-loop.md](references/self-critique-loop.md) | Mandatory second pass to verify evidence and coverage | | Retry Protocol | [references/retry-protocol.md](references/retry-protocol.md) | Tool failure and empty search handling: retry once, then document | | Non-Negotiable Behaviors | [references/non-negotiable-behaviors.md](references/non-negotiable-behaviors.md) | Mandatory rules: do not fabricate, cite evidence, report gaps | | Self-Reflection Quality Gate | [references/self-reflection-quality-gate.md](references/self-reflection-quality-gate.md) | Scoring rubric (1–10 scale) with a minimum threshold of 8 | | Self-Learning System | [references/self-learning-system.md](references/self-learning-system.md) | Templates and rules for lessons and security memories | ## Execution Flow Load reference files as you reach each phase: 1. **Before analysis**: If scope or policy is not clear, read [references/clarification-protocol.md](references/clarification-protocol.md). Ask a maximum of 2 targeted questions. 2. **During analysis**: Follow [references/non-negotiable-behaviors.md](references/non-negotiable-behaviors.md). At each triage decision, consult [references/anti-rationalization-guard.md](references/anti-rationalization-guard.md). 3. **On tool or search failure**: Follow [references/retry-protocol.md](references/retry-protocol.md). Do not assume code is secure without verification. 4. **After initial analysis**: Complete a second pass with the checklist in [references/self-critique-loop.md](references/self-critique-loop.md). Verify taint traces and manifest coverage. 5. **Before delivery**: Score the draft report using [references/self-reflection-quality-gate.md](references/self-reflection-quality-gate.md). All categories must score ≥ 8. 6. **Final delivery**: Record lessons and memories using [references/self-learning-system.md](references/self-learning-system.md).
