What aiconfig-ai-metrics does

This skill does no work. It was renamed to built-in-metrics, and the old file stays as a pointer: if docs, a saved prompt or automation still reference aiconfig-ai-metrics, they land here and learn the new name.

There are no task instructions inside, just a rename notice and a request not to run the task from this file. Call built-in-metrics instead, where the current and complete instructions live. So installing aiconfig-ai-metrics into a new project makes no sense, while checking your old references does.

If the name shows up in a config or script, swap aiconfig-ai-metrics for built-in-metrics. The skill ships under Apache-2.0.

What it helps with

  • find the new name of a renamed skill
  • fix a stale reference in docs or a prompt
  • update automation that calls the old skill name
  • figure out why an old skill invocation stopped working

Example prompts for the agent

  • Why does the aiconfig-ai-metrics skill do nothing?
  • Which skill replaces aiconfig-ai-metrics?
  • Update the aiconfig-ai-metrics reference in my prompt

Questions about aiconfig-ai-metrics

How do I install aiconfig-ai-metrics in Claude?

Install runs npx skills add launchdarkly/ai-tooling --skill aiconfig-ai-metrics -a claude-code, and the file lands at ~/.claude/skills/aiconfig-ai-metrics/SKILL.md. There is little point, though: the skill is deprecated and built-in-metrics is what you want.

What does aiconfig-ai-metrics do?

Nothing. It is a redirect to the renamed built-in-metrics skill and performs no task itself.

How is aiconfig-ai-metrics different from built-in-metrics?

They are the same skill under two names. The current instructions live in built-in-metrics, while aiconfig-ai-metrics exists so old references reach the new name.

# Deprecated — renamed to `built-in-metrics`

This skill has been renamed. **Do not follow any instructions here and do not perform the task from this skill.**

Invoke the **`built-in-metrics`** skill instead — it contains the current, complete instructions.

If you arrived here from an old reference (documentation, a saved prompt, or automation), update it from `aiconfig-ai-metrics` to `built-in-metrics`.
