ship-mate — Claude Code plugin: from story file to shipped feature
A plugin that runs a story file through architect, developer, PR reviewer, QA and Playwright until the feature is done.
/plugin marketplace add wshobson/agents
/plugin install ship-mate@claude-code-workflowsWhat ship-mate does
ship-mate is a Claude plugin that takes a story file and carries it all the way to a reviewed, tested feature. The flow is a chain: an orchestrator kicks off an architect, the architect hands off to a developer, then a PR reviewer, QA and Playwright step in. Each stage is a separate subagent, so you can see exactly where a task stalls.
Installation goes through the plugin marketplace: add the wshobson/agents source first, then install the plugin itself. No API keys or outside services are involved. If you're behind a proxy or a private mirror, set that in your environment or the tool's config file rather than on the install line.
The chain assumes a clear task description. A vague story file leaves the architect and developer guessing, and review plus QA will hand back noise. That's worth ten minutes of writing a proper spec before you run it.
What it helps with
- turn a story file into a finished feature without manual handoffs
- run code through review and QA before teammates see it
- wire Playwright into checks for user-facing flows
- split a large task into architecture, implementation and tests
- keep several subagents orchestrated in one run
Example prompts for the agent
- /plugin install ship-mate@claude-code-workflows
- Take the story file
feature.mdand run it through the whole pipeline to a finished PR - Run ship-mate on this task: architect, developer, review, QA and Playwright
