setup-mcp-agent-analytics — Claude Code plugin
Finds the language your MCP server is written in and wires in the matching Pendo SDK, so tool calls land in Pendo Agent Analytics.
/plugin install setup-mcp-agent-analytics@claude-plugins-official
/plugin marketplace add anthropics/claude-plugins-officialWhat setup-mcp-agent-analytics does
This plugin inspects an MCP server and picks the Pendo SDK that fits: Python, TypeScript or Go. Then it edits the project so tool calls are reported to Pendo Agent Analytics. No manual reading through unfamiliar code.
One job, done in one flow: spot the language, choose the SDK, instrument the server. You don't write glue code or wrapper scripts yourself — the plugin handles that inside Claude.
Your server has to be written in Python, TypeScript or Go. Pick another language and the plugin won't help; you'll instrument it by hand.
What it helps with
- wire Pendo Agent Analytics into a custom MCP server
- pick the right Pendo SDK after detecting the server's language
- instrument MCP tool calls without reading the whole codebase
- send MCP tool events to Pendo analytics
Example prompts for the agent
- Instrument my MCP server for Pendo Agent Analytics
- Detect my MCP server's language and add the matching Pendo SDK
- Set up MCP tool call tracking in Pendo Agent Analytics
