What logrocket does

The package bundles two things: an MCP server that talks to the LogRocket API and a skill that tells the agent how to query it. The toolset covers organization and project listings, session search by user, URL, time window or event, inspection of a single session, and network entries returned as a HAR document. Metrics come through build_metric, while find_issues filters a project's issues by severity, triage state and type. Free-form questions run through Ask Galileo via use_logrocket.

Every toolset is on from the start. The server URL carries ?toolsets=all, so later additions arrive without a config change. Narrow it when you want the agent to stay out of certain areas — the toolsets parameter in plugins/logrocket/.mcp.json accepts a comma-separated list such as ?toolsets=sessions, metrics.

Authentication happens once, when Claude prompts you to connect the MCP server. What the agent sees is bounded by your LogRocket account permissions, and session data is personal data, so decide who gets this plugin before handing it around.

What it helps with

  • trace a checkout complaint back to the exact user session
  • export a session's network requests as HAR and read the server responses
  • compare project metrics against an earlier period
  • sort new issues by severity and pick what to fix first
  • check last week's commits against session data for regressions

Example prompts for the agent

  • Use LogRocket to watch sessions from the user who reported the checkout bug and point at the root cause
  • List this week's new issues, work out their causes, and tell me which ones I can fix
  • Pull the network entries for session abc123 as HAR and explain the failing response

Questions about logrocket

How do I install logrocket in Claude Code?

Add the marketplace first with /plugin marketplace add anthropics/claude-plugins-official, then run /plugin install logrocket@claude-plugins-official.

What does the logrocket plugin do?

It connects Claude to the LogRocket MCP server and gives the agent a skill for querying sessions, metrics and issues. Natural-language analysis is handled by Ask Galileo through use_logrocket.

Can I trim the exposed tools?

Yes. Change the toolsets parameter in the MCP server URL inside plugins/logrocket/.mcp.json. A value like ?toolsets=sessions, metrics limits the agent to those two groups instead of everything.
