fresh-eyes-review — Claude Code plugin: a last check before you commit
A required final pass before commits and PRs that hunts for security holes, logic slips and bugs the test suite let through.
/plugin marketplace add anthropics/claude-plugins-community
/plugin install fresh-eyes-review@claude-communityWhat fresh-eyes-review does
This plugin puts one more gate in front of your commit or pull request. Instead of trusting green tests alone, it reads the change and looks for what tests miss: security holes, broken logic, plain bugs.
The gate is meant to be mandatory. You run the review, and only then does the change move on. That flips the usual habit — check first, git commit second.
It comes from the claude-community marketplace. After install the step folds into your Claude workflow; there is nothing else to wire up.
What it helps with
- catch a security hole before the code reaches a commit
- surface a logic error the tests never covered
- review the diff before opening a pull request
- stop a bug slipping through a rushed release
Example prompts for the agent
- Run fresh-eyes-review on my changes before I commit.
- Do the final pass on this diff for security and logic before the PR.
- Check the staged files for bugs before I commit.
