What data-engineering does

The plugin covers data work: ETL pipeline construction, warehouse design, batch processing workflows and data-driven feature development. It ships as a set of agent scenarios you pull into your project through the plugin marketplace.

Install comes from the wshobson/agents repository in Claude. Claude and Cursor are listed as supported platforms, but install commands are given for Claude only — for the others you will have to work out the wiring yourself. MIT license, so you can edit the code.

If you already have a pipeline and don't want your project structure touched, the plugin may clash with your existing table and layer naming conventions. Worth testing on a branch first.

What it helps with

  • build an ETL pipeline from scattered sources
  • design a data warehouse schema
  • write batch jobs for large volumes
  • derive features from raw data for a model

Example prompts for the agent

  • build an ETL pipeline: extract from the source, transform, load into the warehouse
  • design a warehouse schema for our reporting
  • write a batch job to recompute marts for the month
