business-scenario-explorer — Claude Code command: business scenarios
A slash command that maps out several business timelines — baseline, optimistic, pessimistic and disruption — and turns them into a decision matrix.
npx claude-code-templates@latest --command simulation/business-scenario-explorerWhat business-scenario-explorer does
The command takes a business context or one of three flags: --market-expansion, --product-launch, --funding-scenarios. It then splits the situation into five or six timelines: baseline, optimistic, pessimistic, disruption, plus a constraint pass over resources and regulation. What comes back is a matrix with probability-weighted outcomes, recommendations and a contingency plan.
The analytics side is spelled out: Monte Carlo simulations, sensitivity analysis, decision trees. Tool access is narrow — Read, Write, Edit, WebSearch. So market data gets pulled from the web, while your financial model and docs are read straight from the project.
One thing to watch: feed it vague input and the scenarios come back vague too. The command pulls context from $ARGUMENTS or from documentation such as README.md, so write down the numbers and market conditions first.
What it helps with
- break a product launch into scenarios with different likelihoods
- size up the risks of entering a new market before spending
- compare the fallout of different funding rounds
- spot resource and regulatory limits that break the plan
- draft a response plan for when the baseline scenario fails
Example prompts for the agent
- /business-scenario-explorer --product-launch: we run a SaaS for logistics and are shipping an analytics module
- /business-scenario-explorer --market-expansion: entering Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan on a tight budget
- /business-scenario-explorer --funding-scenarios: weighing seed against bridge, need a risk matrix
