url-link-extractor — Claude Code subagent: features and install
Scans your codebase to compile an inventory of internal links, external URLs, asset paths, and API endpoints. Useful during domain migrations, SEO audits, and code cleanup.
npx claude-code-templates@latest --agent web-tools/url-link-extractorWhat url-link-extractor does
The subagent inspects markup, stylesheets, scripts, and configuration files using Grep, Glob, and Read. It tracks down absolute URLs, relative paths, email and telephone schemes, external API calls, and asset references. Every match gets documented. File locations and exact line numbers are recorded during the scan.
Output comes as a Markdown table or a JSON report with summary counts and categorization into internal and external targets. The assistant flags hardcoded localhost references and broken path patterns before production deployments. Without direct read permissions on project files, the scan fails immediately.
What it helps with
- Audit external endpoints and internal routes before moving to a new domain
- Spot hardcoded localhost strings across configuration files and scripts
- Catalog asset files, stylesheets, and images for SEO or security checks
- Extract email and telephone links from template files and markup
Example prompts for the agent
- Scan the codebase and generate a Markdown table of all external links with file lines
- Find any leftover localhost URLs across the project
- Extract all API endpoints and asset references into a JSON file
