Bovada — A Standard “RTP Is Theoretical” Response Doesn’t Address My ConcernI can already anticipate the standard response to this complaint: “Game results are random,” “RTP is theoretical,” “past results don’t influence future outcomes,” and “individual results can vary.”I understand all of that. That isn’t the issue I’m raising.I’m not complaining because I lost money. I’m questioning the consistency and severity of the results I’ve experienced over an extended period of time.I’ve played the same game consistently for approximately three weeks, seven days a week, while varying the time of day and wager amounts. My results have continued to be overwhelmingly negative. Based on my own account activity, I’ve deposited approximately $10,000 and have seen an extremely small return compared with the amount deposited. If Bovada’s response is simply that this is “normal variance,” then I’d like Bovada to explain what information supports that conclusion. What is the game’s advertised RTP?Who is the game provider? When was the RNG last independently tested?Who performed the testing? Is the specific version of the game currently being offered on Bovada covered by that testing? And is Bovada willing to provide documentation demonstrating that the game is operating according to its advertised specifications?Saying that an RNG is random does not, by itself, demonstrate that a particular game is functioning correctly. Likewise, saying that RTP is theoretical doesn’t mean players shouldn’t be able to question results that appear substantially inconsistent with the advertised mathematics over time.I’m also not claiming that I have personally proven Bovada’s RNG is manipulated. That’s not something a player can establish simply by playing a game. What I am saying is that repeated, unusually poor results are enough to justify asking legitimate questions about the game’s integrity and the testing behind it.After approximately seven years as a player, I’m not asking Bovada to guarantee that I’ll win. I’m asking for transparency. If Bovada believes these results are completely consistent with the game’s mathematical model, then explain why using actual information about the game—not a generic responsible-gambling response.Players deserve to know that the games they’re wagering on are operating exactly as advertised. That’s my concern, and a response consisting solely of “that’s gambling” doesn’t adequately address it.
