Australian wagering operator Tabcorp reported a 26.5% rise in net profit after tax to AU$46.3 million (US$33.2 million) for the financial year ended 30 June 2026. EBITDA climbed 10.3% to AU$431.7 million (US$310 million), and group revenue added 0.8% to reach AU$2.64 billion (US$1.90 billion).
Wagering holds, retail rebuilt
Wagering and Media, the core segment, grew 0.7% to AU$2.45 billion (US$1.76 billion). Integrity Services contributed AU$181.6 million (US$130 million), up 3.3%. Domestic wagering revenue rose 0.9% on improved trading conditions, though margins stayed below average through the first half.
Retail is being run on a new commercial model, with upgraded terminals and the TAB LIVE in-play product rolling out. Chief executive Gillon McLachlan said the company sits in the middle of its transformation, is holding to cost and capital discipline, and will launch National Tote shortly. Next-Gen terminals are already going into pubs and clubs in approved states.
AUSTRAC probe and BetMakers
Tabcorp declared a dividend of AU$1.5 cents per share. It continues to work with AUSTRAC on an investigation opened in May over concerns about the operator's ability to identify and manage money laundering and terrorism financing risks. The proposed AU$267 million purchase of BetMakers is intended to speed products to market, cut costs and widen international reach. McLachlan said the first two phases — preparation and operationalising the plan — are complete, and the growth phase now begins.
