Awager, the Aristocrat iGaming technology company, has launched live-streamed slots on BetMGM and Borgata Online in New Jersey. Players reach physical machines remotely: every spin runs on a real cabinet in a regulated studio and arrives on screen as a stream.
At launch the platform carries 50 slot cabinets and more than 30 games, among them Aristocrat Gaming titles such as Buffalo Ascension and Lightning Link. Gameplay streams in 4K with the machine's original sound and real-time response.
'Bringing land-based play online is the core of what we do — giving players an authentic casino experience on their own devices,' said Superna Kalle, Chief Strategy Officer at Aristocrat. The BetMGM partnership widens access to play on real machines, she said.
What it means for the market
Awager has spent more than ten years building the platform — its own hardware, software and streaming. Its studios sit in North America and Europe, and the company says it operates only in regulated jurisdictions. In New Jersey this is one more format inside an online casino that is already legal, not a way around the regulator.
Rob Passerino, Director of Gaming at BetMGM, called the launch the start of a partnership and said the operator plans to look for new opportunities for its online casino.
For operators and affiliate teams, remote live slots are a vertical to watch. The product sits between an ordinary online slot and live casino. The economics stay open: retention and traffic costs, and how such an offer converts against classic RNG slots. For now the launch covers one state and two brands.
