Google has expanded advertising in AI Mode to 10 new countries, moving the search feature beyond the US market where it previously operated alone. The UK and Brazil are next in line for the rollout.
AI Mode delivers generated answers to user queries instead of the traditional list of ten links, with ads now embedded within those responses. For advertisers buying through Google Ads, this represents new inventory. Users in AI Mode tend to seek detailed information, which may affect conversion patterns compared to standard search.
In the US, Google has also introduced multiturn ads, which display across multiple questions within a single search session. As users refine their queries, relevant ads can appear at different stages of the conversation, changing how keyword bidding and ad placement work.
The full list of the 10 new countries remains undisclosed. For traffic buyers and affiliate managers, AI Mode ads require different creative and keyword strategies. An ad must align closely with the AI-generated answer context; misalignment between keywords and the response logic will depress click-through rates. Advertisers may need separate campaigns for AI Mode with adjusted bids and keyword selection.
