The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board has fined MGM Resorts International $50,250 for failing to file a Principal Licensing application on time. CountR GmbH, a German company, was fined $50,000 for an unauthorised change of control over its licence and for non-payment of mandatory fees. CountR will settle outstanding licensing payments under a consent agreement with the regulator.
The board also placed ten individuals on the state's involuntary exclusion list, bringing the total to 1,507 people now barred from casinos, online betting and VGT terminals across Pennsylvania. One case involved a visitor at Harrah's Philadelphia Casino who left a five-year-old child alone in the car park for 36 minutes while playing slots. The regulator reminded operators that leaving minors unsupervised on casino premises, in hotels or adjacent areas is prohibited and creates a safety risk.
PGCB has launched a 'Don't Gamble with Kids' campaign, with materials available at DontGamblewithKids.org. The board's next meeting is scheduled for 14 October 2026.
