What tabletopkit does

This skill guides implementation of visionOS spatial board games with TabletopKit. It covers table surfaces, player seats, pieces, cards, and dice, with state changes expressed through TabletopAction. Visual entities use RealityKit, while TabletopInteraction handles gesture-based equipment input.

Multiplayer work requires the Group Activities capability and USDZ assets for tables, pieces, cards, and dice in a RealityKit content bundle. State can be read with withCurrentSnapshot(_:); when automatic updates are off, call update(deltaTime:) every frame. The simulator is limited to single-player layout checks, so it cannot validate multiplayer behaviour. TabletopInteraction.Configuration needs visionOS 2.2+, while custom actions and extended state require visionOS 26.0+.

What it helps with

  • build a visionOS game table and board
  • define stateful pieces, cards, and dice
  • assign player seats and turn control
  • sync game actions with Group Activities
  • handle object gestures and table physics

Example prompts for the agent

  • Create a visionOS board game with TabletopKit, a table, two player seats, and pawns.
  • Add cards and dice with state, then render their entities with RealityKit.
  • Set up turn actions with TabletopAction and multiplayer state through Group Activities.
