stripe-directory · openai — Claude skill: find vendors and pay for services
Turns a vague market need into a short list of matching services, and can pay for them directly when they support MPP.
npx skills add openai/plugins --skill stripe-directory -a codexWhat stripe-directory does
The skill runs stripe directory search and returns 5-10 matches split into direct, adjacent and needs-manual-review groups. Queries go in short noun phrases, one angle at a time: vertical first, then workflow, pain point and neighbouring terms. Filters narrow the pool by country, Stripe app presence, Link support and Stripe Projects.
Each entry carries a name, the reason it matched and a URL. Services that speak MPP are flagged as purchasable with their mpp.slug and mpp.url attached. When the pool is thin or generic, the skill says so and suggests widening or narrowing the search instead of padding the list.
Buying only starts when you ask for it. The agent shows the price and waits for explicit approval before any money moves, and you pick the payer: Link CLI, Tempo, Privy Agent Wallet CLI or mppx. Link CLI works with US Link accounts only, and a single spend-request is capped at 50000 cents. If the chosen tool is missing, the agent offers to install it and waits for your answer.
What it helps with
- find contractors for a specific industry
- compare tools by workflow
- pick software for a job to be done
- pay a third-party service from inside the agent
- filter vendors by country and Stripe support
Example prompts for the agent
- Find field service management vendors and give me a short list
- Look for B2B SaaS billing tools with subscription support
- Find an MPP-supported service and pay for it with Link CLI
