sr-screener — Claude Code skill: what it does, how to install
Applies protocol-driven screening to study records for reviews. It manages double-blind screening of titles, abstracts, and full texts.
npx skills add Imbad0202/academic-research-skills --skill sr-screener -a claude-codeWhat sr-screener does
The skill converts an initial proposal or a PROSPERO protocol into fixed eligibility rules. It screens candidate papers using two independent AI reviewers and passes conflicting evaluations to a third adjudicator. The workflow parses input records from RIS, Web of Science, CSV, and PubMed .nbib exports, removes duplicates, and logs exclusion codes for PRISMA 2020 flows.
Under the hood, deterministic steps rely on Python 3.9+ scripts. They function with the standard library alone, while installing openpyxl enables logging to an Excel spreadsheet. The workflow offers 8 execution modes covering protocol formulation, pilot testing, title-abstract screening, adjudication, and audit.
External research pipelines will not hand over tasks to this tool silently. You must initiate screening explicitly because every exclusion code and statistic requires confirmation before writing the final methods section.
What it helps with
- extract eligibility rules from a study proposal
- screen article titles and abstracts with two blind reviewers
- resolve screening disagreements with an adjudicator
- deduplicate record exports from PubMed and Web of Science
- generate selection metrics for PRISMA 2020 reporting
Example prompts for the agent
- Convert proposal.docx into eligibility rules for title and abstract screening
- Run a pilot screening on the exports inside EndNote_Import using screening_protocol.md
- Calculate the PRISMA selection counts and generate the methods section draft
