What slide-generation does

The skill inspects a main.tex file or an entire paper directory to extract titles, author lists, equations, tables, and figure paths. It relies on a bundled extract_paper_elements.py Python script that parses the TeX source and outputs a Beamer skeleton with the Metropolis theme or a raw JSON element file.

It builds a narrative flow of roughly 15 to 20 slides covering motivation, methods, experiments, and limitations. Content gets trimmed for presentation: tables keep only primary rows, equations highlight core insights, and each slide holds at most 6 bullet points. A four-column layout is also available for conference posters.

Because element extraction depends on the local Python script, running it without Python installed will break the workflow.

What it helps with

  • generate a Beamer LaTeX slide deck from a main.tex paper
  • extract figures, tables, and key equations from LaTeX sources
  • build a 15 to 20 slide outline for an oral presentation
  • format a four-column poster layout from research text

Example prompts for the agent

  • Create oral presentation slides for the paper in paper/
  • Build a four-column poster layout from paper.tex
