What roblox-publish-checklist does

The skill loads before you publish or update a live Roblox experience. First it asks you to record what changed: places, scripts, assets, configuration, schemas, products, supported devices and the rollback path. Each gate gets classified as required, conditional or not applicable before any testing starts.

High-consequence failures block the release. Persistence changed? Load roblox-data or roblox-server-data. Remotes or authority changed? roblox-networking and roblox-security. Purchases? roblox-monetization. Cloud auth or webhooks? roblox-cloud. A failed gate means NOT READY, and averaging it into a percentage is not allowed. User approval authorizes an action, but it does not turn an unverified gate into PASS.

Then comes the shipped surface: one normal flow plus failure, retry, leave/rejoin and rapid-input cases. Errors, memory, frame and network cost, and streaming get measured. Focus, touch targets, contrast, non-color state cues, reduced motion and localized overflow are checked where they apply. Output is READY, NOT READY or READY WITH ACCEPTED RISK, blockers first, then warnings, unverified gates, evidence and the rollback plan. Every PASS needs a test, log, profiler capture, readback or screenshot behind it. No evidence, no PASS.

What it helps with

  • list changed places and assets before a release
  • check data migration and saving after persistence edits
  • close validation gaps in remotes and ownership checks
  • confirm purchase grants are idempotent and survive retries
  • collect evidence per gate instead of verbal assurances

Example prompts for the agent

  • run roblox-publish-checklist before I publish this update
  • check whether the build is ready: remotes and saving changed
  • do a pre-release audit and show blockers with evidence

Questions about roblox-publish-checklist

How do I install roblox-publish-checklist in Claude?

Run npx skills add TabooHarmony/roblox-brain --skill roblox-publish-checklist -a claude-code. The skill lands in ~/.claude/skills/roblox-publish-checklist/SKILL.md.

What does roblox-publish-checklist do?

It runs release gates and a pre-release audit for a Roblox experience: it records the scope of the change, blocks on high-consequence checks, exercises the shipped surface and demands evidence for each PASS.

What counts as evidence for a PASS?

A test, log, profiler capture, readback, screenshot or dashboard inspection. Without one the gate stays UNVERIFIED, and user approval does not substitute for it.

# Roblox Publish Checklist

## When to Load

Load before publishing or updating a live experience. Test the surfaces and risks the change introduces.

## Quick Reference

### 1. Define the release

Record the changed places, scripts, assets, configuration, schemas, products, supported devices, and rollback path. Classify each gate as required, conditional, or not applicable before testing.

### 2. Block on high-consequence failures

- **Persistence changed:** load, save, migration, duplicate-session, disconnect, and shutdown behavior. Load `roblox-data` or `roblox-server-data`.
- **Remotes or authority changed:** validate types, bounds, state, ownership, replay, and abusive frequency. Load `roblox-networking` and `roblox-security`.
- **Purchases changed:** test durable, idempotent receipt grants and retries. Load `roblox-monetization`.
- **Cloud auth or webhooks changed:** verify secrets, scopes, callback state, retries, signatures, and deduplication. Load `roblox-cloud`.

A failed high-consequence gate means NOT READY. Do not average it into a percentage. Precedence: user approval authorizes an otherwise permitted action; it does not satisfy a mandatory policy and does not turn a failed or unverified gate into PASS.

### 3. Exercise the shipped surface

- Run one normal flow plus failure, retry, leave/rejoin, and rapid-input cases relevant to the change.
- Test every supported input mode and representative viewport/device tier.
- Measure errors, memory, frame/network cost and streaming.
- Verify focus, touch targets, readable contrast, non-color state cues, reduced motion, and localized overflow where applicable.
- Confirm Dashboard metadata, permissions and policy; after publishing, verify the version actually serving players.

### 4. Require evidence

Every PASS cites a test, log, profiler capture, readback, screenshot, or dashboard inspection. UNVERIFIED if unavailable; approval is not evidence.

### Output

`READY`, `NOT READY`, or `READY WITH ACCEPTED RISK`; blockers first, then warnings, unverified gates, evidence, rollback plan, and skipped gates with reasons.
