prismic — Claude Code skill: manage a headless CMS
A skill for working with Prismic: it manages content models, repository settings and docs through the CLI. Useful when your project runs on Prismic.
npx skills add prismicio/skills --skill prismic -a claude-codeWhat prismic does
The skill wires your agent into Prismic, a headless CMS. Through npx prismic it handles content models, repository settings and documentation lookups. Content gets created and published through the Prismic MCP server.
Model changes go through the CLI only — the agent won't touch JSON model files directly. One exception: prismic.config.json is project config holding page routes, and you edit that by hand. Commands run without confirmation, including repository creation. The agent asks before anything that removes data. --force only when you ask for it.
If the CLI can't do what you need, the agent says so and asks how to proceed. Moving an existing site has its own guide. Connect the MCP server first, otherwise content creation won't work.
What it helps with
- create and publish content in Prismic
- change a content model through the CLI instead of editing JSON
- read Prismic docs on a specific topic
- set up page routes in
prismic.config.json - migrate an existing site to Prismic
Example prompts for the agent
- Add a new content type for articles in Prismic
- Show me the Prismic docs about webhooks
- Create a test page in Prismic and publish it
