healthkit · prisma-labs-dev — Claude Code skill: HealthKit API reference

A skill that hands your agent the HealthKit docs: store operations, sample queries, workouts, unit conversions. Useful when you write iOS code and don't want to keep opening Apple's docs.

What healthkit does

The skill is user-invocable and runs in a forked context with the Explore agent, so it searches its own reference files instead of your project. Six documents ship with it: a framework overview, hkhealthstore.md for store operations, hkquantitysample.md for samples like weight and heart rate, hkquantitytypeidentifier.md listing type identifiers, hksamplequery.md for queries, and hkunit.md for conversions.

Answers come back in a fixed shape: a short summary plus file paths for the full details. That keeps the agent from paraphrasing the whole reference. Ask about reading or writing health data and it works from these documents rather than guessing.

The skill answers API questions; it does not generate project code for you. You need Node.js with npx to install, since the command drops SKILL.md into the skills directory of the platform you pick.

What it helps with

  • find the right quantity type identifier for a sample
  • work out reading and writing health data through HKHealthStore
  • convert units with HKUnit
  • build a sample query with HKSampleQuery
  • check how workouts and quantity samples are handled

Example prompts for the agent

  • How do I read heart rate data with HKHealthStore?
  • Show me the quantity type identifiers for weight samples
  • How do I convert units in HKUnit?

How to install healthkit
