observe-whatsapp — Claude Code skill for WhatsApp diagnostics
Investigate WhatsApp issues in Kapso, from failed message delivery to API and webhook errors. Useful for tracing events and checking phone number health.
npx skills add gokapso/agent-skills --skill observe-whatsapp -a claude-codeWhat observe-whatsapp does
This skill guides an agent through WhatsApp troubleshooting in Kapso. It searches logs from API calls, Meta webhooks, workflows, and webhook delivery, helping connect events to messages and errors. For a message investigation, it can resolve a display number to a phone_number_id, list messages, and inspect a message or conversation.
The main route uses the Kapso CLI. After kapso login, run kapso status to check project access and available numbers. Node.js scripts provide a fallback for log searches, message details, errors, and health checks; install their dependencies with npm i. The Platform API log fallback depends on Logs and Elasticsearch being enabled, so that route will fail without them.
Webhook creation and configuration belong to integrate-whatsapp; event and workflow setup belong to automate-whatsapp. This skill focuses on operational investigation rather than setup.
What it helps with
- trace log events related to a message
- inspect webhook delivery attempts
- triage API and message errors
- check project and WhatsApp number health
Example prompts for the agent
- Find the Kapso log events related to message
wamid.... - Inspect delivery attempts for webhook
<webhook-id>. - Check this WhatsApp number's health and look for recent errors.
