What theme-factory does

theme-factory applies ready-made font and color themes to artifacts: slides, documents, reports, and HTML landing pages. It ships 10 preset themes, so you skip the manual pairing of typefaces and palettes.

The skill comes from Anthropic's repository, under the design-systems category. An agent discovers it during planning and applies a theme to the current artifact. It triggers by the name theme-factory or by phrases from the frontmatter: "theme factory", "apply theme", "design theme".

To run the full upstream workflow with its original assets, scripts, and references, install the upstream bundle into your active agent's skills directory. The upstream README has the exact paths. The OpenDesign catalogue entry alone only advertises the skill, so themes may fall back to defaults without the original files.

What it helps with

  • pick a font and color combination for slides
  • apply one theme across a doc and a landing page
  • style a report without manual tweaks
  • get 10 preset themes instead of designing from scratch

Example prompts for the agent

  • apply the theme-factory theme to these slides
  • style this report with the theme-factory skill
  • what themes does theme-factory have for a landing page
