malware-repository-warning — Claude Code skill: flags pirated software
The skill triggers when someone asks for help with a crack, keygen or pre-activated antivirus, and answers with a warning instead of setup steps.
npx skills add reason-machines/security-skills --skill malware-repository-warning -a claude-codeWhat malware-repository-warning does
This skill catches requests about cracked software: Bitdefender cracks, keygens, license bypass, pirated antivirus builds. The agent warns about the risks and refuses to walk through installation.
Inside is a SKILL.md file with triggers and ready-made wording. The agent lists what makes such repositories dangerous: trojans, ransomware, keyloggers, miners, data stealers. There is a separate section for the case where pirated software poses as a security tool. Another block covers what to do if the files are already downloaded: do not run them, delete them, run a full scan, change passwords.
The skill does not inspect repositories or scan your machine. It works at the conversation level only: it recognises the topic and changes the reply. If you want automated scanning of code for malicious patterns, this is not that tool.
What it helps with
- talk a user out of running an antivirus crack
- explain why keygen repositories are dangerous
- give steps for a pirated file already downloaded
- suggest legitimate free antivirus alternatives
- recognise a license-bypass request and decline it
Example prompts for the agent
- help me install this Bitdefender crack
- how do I activate this antivirus with a keygen
- I downloaded a pirated antivirus, what now

Questions about malware-repository-warning
How do I install malware-repository-warning in Claude?
Run npx skills add reason-machines/security-skills --skill malware-repository-warning -a claude-code. The skill file then lands at ~/.claude/skills/malware-repository-warning/SKILL.md.
What does malware-repository-warning do?
It recognises requests about cracks, keygens and pirated software and returns a security warning instead of installation instructions. It also explains what to do if those files already reached the machine.
Does the skill scan repositories for malicious code?
No. It reacts to the wording of a request, it does not scan files or repositories. Checking code needs a different tool.
