llmquant-macro — Claude Code skill: macro dashboards and Fed previews
A router skill for macro work: builds cross-indicator dashboards, prepares central-bank meeting previews, and maps macro data onto portfolio impact.
npx skills add LLMQuant/skills --skill llmquant-macro -a claude-codeWhat llmquant-macro does
The skill acts as a router. It first pins down geography, indicators, policy body, asset universe, horizon and the deliverable you want. Then it opens one matching workflow out of three: a global macro dashboard with a regime view, a Fed or central-bank policy preview, or a translation of macro data into equity, rates, credit, FX, commodity and portfolio implications.
Data comes from LLMQuant Data: indicator snapshots and histories, release dates and revisions, policy rates and rate expectations, yield curves, inflation, labor, growth, housing, liquidity, sentiment, cross-asset prices and ETF look-through. When a series or a release calendar is unavailable, the skill names the missing input and skips time-sensitive claims. It also avoids implying real-time macro data when only the latest closed observations exist.
Reports carry observation and release dates, revisions, frequencies, stale notices and missing inputs. That is worth checking before a macro read goes into a decision.
What it helps with
- build a cross-indicator macro dashboard with a regime view
- prepare a Fed or central-bank meeting preview
- translate macro data into equity, rates and FX implications
- map macro conditions onto a portfolio via ETF look-through
- track release dates, revisions and stale observations
Example prompts for the agent
- build a macro dashboard for inflation, growth and liquidity over the past year
- prep a Fed meeting preview: policy rate, rate expectations, yield curve
- translate the latest macro data into impact on my equity and bond portfolio

Questions about llmquant-macro
How do I install llmquant-macro in Claude?
Run npx skills add LLMQuant/skills --skill llmquant-macro -a claude-code. The skill lands at ~/.claude/skills/llmquant-macro/SKILL.md.
What does llmquant-macro do?
It is a router skill: it identifies the macro task and opens one of three workflows — a global dashboard, a central-bank policy preview, or a macro-to-portfolio impact analysis.
What data does it need?
It prefers LLMQuant Data: macro indicators with revisions and release dates, policy rates and rate expectations, cross-asset prices and portfolio exposures. If a series or release calendar is unavailable, it names the missing input.

--- name: llmquant-macro description: Router skill for LLMQuant macro workflows. Use when the user needs macro dashboards, Fed or central-bank previews, inflation and growth context, liquidity, or macro-to-portfolio impact analysis. input_data_source: LLMQuant Data category: macro --- # LLMQuant Macro This category routes macroeconomic research workflows for regime dashboards, policy previews, and portfolio impact mapping. ## Routing Rules 1. Identify geography, indicators, policy body, asset universe, horizon, and requested deliverable. 2. Select the closest workflow below. 3. Open only that workflow and any referenced local resources. 4. Use LLMQuant Data for macro observations, release dates, rates, FX, commodities, credit, equity indices, and research context. 5. Report observation dates, release dates, revisions, frequencies, stale notices, and missing inputs. ## Workflow Index | User intent | Workflow | |---|---| | Build a cross-indicator macro dashboard and regime view. | [`workflows/global-macro-dashboard.md`](workflows/global-macro-dashboard.md) | | Prepare a Fed or central-bank policy meeting preview. | [`workflows/fed-policy-preview.md`](workflows/fed-policy-preview.md) | | Translate macro data into equity, rates, credit, FX, commodity, and portfolio implications. | [`workflows/macro-to-portfolio-impact.md`](workflows/macro-to-portfolio-impact.md) | ## LLMQuant Data Contract Prefer LLMQuant Data when available. The workflows may need these data capabilities: - Retrieve macro indicator snapshots, histories, revisions, release dates, and consensus context. - Retrieve central-bank policy rates, rate expectations, yield curves, inflation, labor, growth, housing, liquidity, and sentiment. - Retrieve cross-asset prices for equities, rates, FX, commodities, credit, crypto, and volatility. - Retrieve portfolio exposures and ETF look-through when translating macro into portfolio impact. Fallback: - If a macro series or release calendar is unavailable, name the missing input and avoid time-sensitive claims. - Do not imply real-time macro data when only latest closed observations are available.
