What google does

The google skill searches the web with WebSearch. When a result needs closer reading, it opens the selected page through WebFetch and includes source links in the response. This gives the agent a way to check current information instead of relying only on the project context.

The workflow has two parts: find relevant results, then read specific pages. It can investigate recent TypeScript features, explain how to use pnpm workspaces, or check Claude API rate limits. Because the skill relies on WebSearch and WebFetch, check that these tools are available in the platform you plan to use.

The skill is listed for Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Gemini CLI, and OpenCode.

What it helps with

  • find current information on the web
  • check TypeScript features in recent material
  • learn how to use pnpm workspaces
  • verify Claude API rate limits with sources

Example prompts for the agent

  • Run google to find the latest TypeScript features and include source links in the answer.
  • Run google and explain how to use pnpm workspaces after reading the relevant pages.
  • Run google to check Claude API rate limits and cite the source for each finding.
