github-triage — Claude Code skill: read-only issue and PR triage
Reads every open issue and PR in a repo and writes evidence-backed reports. It never comments, merges or closes anything.
npx skills add code-yeongyu/oh-my-openagent --skill github-triage -a claude-codeWhat github-triage does
This skill triages a GitHub backlog without touching it. Each open issue or PR becomes its own background task in the quick category, and they all run at once. Output lands in /tmp/{YYYYMMDD-HHmmss}/ as issue-{N}.md and pr-{N}.md files.
The evidence rule is strict: every claim in a report needs a permalink to a specific commit and line range. Links to main or master do not count, only commit SHAs. When proof is missing, the report says so and the claim carries no weight.
The zero-action policy is absolute. Commands like gh issue comment, gh pr merge and gh pr review are forbidden, along with any gh api call using POST, PUT, PATCH or DELETE. Reading through gh, git log and git blame is fine, and reports go to /tmp/ only. You need a working gh CLI with access to the repo. Expect a pile of analysis to read, not a bot that cleans up your tracker for you.
What it helps with
- sweep an open issue and PR backlog before a release
- separate bug reports from questions and feature requests
- back each bug with a link to the exact code
- check whether a commit already fixes the reported problem
- get one report file per issue or PR
Example prompts for the agent
- triage issues in this repo and write the reports to /tmp
- run github triage over all open PRs
- triage: go through open issues and PRs, one report each with permalinks

No. Any GitHub mutation is banned: no comments, labels, closes or merges. Only reads and report writes to /tmp/ are allowed.
