en-to-zh-translator — Claude Code skill for file translation
Translates English .txt and .md files into Chinese while keeping sentence and paragraph structure. Use it to prepare bilingual study material or translation exercises.
npx skills add seefreed/skills --skill en-to-zh-translator -a claude-codeWhat en-to-zh-translator does
The skill reads an English file for context and tone, then writes the translated version beside it. The new filename ends in _zh, so notes.md becomes notes_zh.md. Sentence structure stays close to the source, and sentences split across lines are joined into complete lines.
Paragraphs and meaningful structural breaks remain in place; numerals keep their original form. The workflow is designed for .txt and .md files. Other file formats fall outside that stated scope.
What it helps with
- translate an English
.txtfile into Chinese - create a Chinese version of an
.mddocument - retain sentence structure for back-translation practice
- join sentences split across line breaks
Example prompts for the agent
- Translate
guide.mdinto Chinese and save the result beside it. - Create a Chinese version of
notes.txtwhile retaining its paragraphs and sentence structure. - Turn
lesson.mdinto bilingual material for translation practice.
