effect-ts · effect-ts — Claude Code skill: what it does, how to install
This skill sets up a repository that uses the Effect Typescript library and tells the agent where to read its guidance and source.
npx skills add Effect-TS/skills --skill effect-ts -a claude-codeWhat effect-ts does
The skill prepares a repository built with the Effect Typescript library. It installs effect@latest with pnpm; in a monorepo, it advises adding the package as a dev dependency at the root so the source is available under node_modules/effect/src.
It also adds guidance to AGENTS.md or CLAUDE.md. Before writing Effect code, the agent must read node_modules/effect/AGENTS.md completely, follow relevant links, and search node_modules/effect/src when the guide does not cover an API or concept. Check the monorepo root first, because that is where the package is installed.
The skill is available for Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Gemini CLI, and OpenCode.
