code-testing-agent — Claude Code skill
A compatibility alias for code-testing that forwards explicit legacy calls to the current code-testing workflow.
npx skills add dotnet/skills --skill code-testing-agent -a claude-codeWhat code-testing-agent does
code-testing-agent keeps older explicit calls working when they still use the former skill name. It invokes code-testing with the original user request, then follows that skill's workflow without adding another interpretation layer.
The alias does not activate itself for user requests and is not a custom agent. In dotnet/skills, it is distributed under the MIT license; the public custom agent is test-engineer, while the model-facing skill is code-testing. That makes the alias useful for older instructions, but current setups should check whether they still need the legacy name.
What it helps with
- keep older skill calls working after a rename
- forward a request to
code-testingunchanged - separate a skill alias from a custom agent
- run legacy testing instructions in Claude Code
Example prompts for the agent
- Explicitly invoke
code-testing-agentfor this request and pass it tocode-testing. - Handle this older instruction through
code-testing-agentwithout adding another interpretation layer. - Check that
code-testing-agentforwards the request tocode-testing.
