cli-anything-nsight-graphics — Claude Code skill
Runs NVIDIA Nsight Graphics captures and analysis from the command line. Use it when investigating frames or GPU trace output.
npx skills add HKUDS/CLI-Anything --skill cli-anything-nsight-graphics -a claude-codeWhat cli-anything-nsight-graphics does
This skill launches an application under NVIDIA Nsight Graphics or attaches to a running PID, then triggers Graphics Capture or OpenGL Frame Debugger capture. It can capture GPU Trace data, export the results, and produce a summary of tables, metrics, frame budget, workload classification, and bottleneck hints.
replay analyze processes .ngfx-capture files through ngfx-replay. It exports metadata, logs, captured log errors, and a replay performance report. Use --json in scripted flows; doctor info detects the available compatibility mode, while doctor versions lists detected installations.
NVIDIA Nsight Graphics must already be installed, and a Windows host is recommended. .ngfx-gputrace files may return Invalid file header on Nsight Graphics 2026.1.0, so gpu-trace summarize is the right path for exported GPU Trace tables.
What it helps with
- check detected Nsight Graphics installations
- launch an application for frame capture
- attach Nsight to a running PID
- capture and export a GPU Trace
- analyze an existing
.ngfx-capturefile
Example prompts for the agent
- “Run
cli-anything-nsight-graphics --json doctor infoand report the available compatibility mode.” - “Capture a GPU Trace for
C:\Path\To\App.exe, then export and summarize it.” - “Analyze
D:\captures\frame.ngfx-captureand write the results toD:\analysis.”

Questions about cli-anything-nsight-graphics
How do I install cli-anything-nsight-graphics in Claude Code?
Run npx skills add HKUDS/CLI-Anything --skill cli-anything-nsight-graphics -a claude-code twice, then open ~/.claude/skills/cli-anything-nsight-graphics/SKILL.md.
What does cli-anything-nsight-graphics do?
It orchestrates NVIDIA Nsight Graphics tasks from the command line, including application launch or attachment, frame capture, GPU Trace capture, and .ngfx-capture analysis.
Can replay analyze process .ngfx-gputrace files?
It accepts them to provide diagnostics, but Nsight Graphics 2026.1.0 may report Invalid file header. Use gpu-trace summarize for exported GPU Trace table analysis.

The summary includes exported table inventory, metric inventory, frame-budget classification, workload classification, throughput ranking, bottleneck hints, and warnings for empty event/regime tables. - Use `replay analyze` when the input is an existing `.ngfx-capture` file. With no analysis switches it exports metadata, logs, captured log errors, and a replay performance report, then adds structured `analysis.highlights` / `analysis.warnings`. - `ngfx-replay` documents its input as a Graphics Capture file. `.ngfx-gputrace` inputs are accepted for clear diagnostics, but on Nsight Graphics 2026.1.0 they may report `Invalid file header`; use `gpu-trace summarize` for exported GPU Trace table analysis. - `replay analyze` uses official `ngfx-replay` metadata/log/screenshot/perf-report outputs; it is not a RenderDoc-style shader, pipeline, texture, or resource inspector. - Frame/GPU/C++ capture commands require a launch target through `--exe` or a preconfigured root-level `--project`. - If a global `cli-anything-nsight-graphics` command points at an old worktree, reinstall from `nsight-graphics/agent-harness` with `python -m pip install -e .`.
