What car-sales-data-engineering-analytics does

The skill reads data/Car sales.csv, prepares the dataset, and writes the cleaned result to outputs/cleaned_data.csv. It can produce charts for price distribution, monthly sales, regional activity, income, and transmission type, alongside descriptive statistics.

Its analysis code covers ETL, regression, outlier detection, normality testing, and transmission-price comparisons. The src/ui.py dashboard supports filters for price, dealer region, and company, then lets users export the filtered rows as CSV. Run the complete workflow with uv run python -m src.main --pipeline, or start the UI with uv run streamlit run src/ui.py.

The project requires Python 3.10+, pandas, numpy, matplotlib, scipy, and streamlit; install the dependencies with uv sync. The analysis and dashboard will not run without those packages.

What it helps with

  • clean a car sales CSV
  • compare prices across regions and transmissions
  • plot monthly sales patterns
  • model the relationship between income and price
  • filter vehicle records and export CSV

Example prompts for the agent

  • Analyze data/Car sales.csv and run the full sales analysis pipeline.
  • Start a Streamlit dashboard for the car data with price, region, and company filters.
  • Compare automatic and manual transmission prices, then save the chart under outputs/figures/.
