What amazon-profit-analyzer does

The skill breaks down unit economics for a single product or a whole catalog. Feed it a price, COGS, PPC spend, ACoS and return rate, and it returns a report with a revenue waterfall from gross sales to net profit, a fee table (referral, FBA fulfillment, storage, long-term storage, removal) and a marketing cost block.

Then comes the profitability check: net margin, ROI, ROAS, contribution margin and the break-even point in units per month. Metrics are lined up against category benchmarks and top-25% seller figures. A final step turns that into recommendations — shrink the FBA size tier through packaging, clear aging inventory, cut the return rate, retest price and ACoS targets.

The analysis runs on the numbers you supply. Skip COGS, ad spend or return rate and the margin comes out incomplete, so gather those first. Install is a single npx skills command.

Supported in Claude, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Gemini CLI and OpenCode.

What it helps with

  • calculate true net margin after every Amazon fee
  • spot hidden line items inside the FBA fee structure
  • see how much advertising eats at a given ACoS
  • rank SKUs by profitability and flag the laggards
  • estimate the monthly break-even unit count

Example prompts for the agent

  • Analyze profitability of my yoga mat: $34.99 selling price, $8 COGS, $400/month PPC spend, 15% ACoS, 5% return rate
  • Review profit margins across my whole catalog and show which SKUs underperform
  • Break down all Amazon fees for my electronics category and tell me where to cut costs

Questions about amazon-profit-analyzer

How do I install amazon-profit-analyzer in Claude?

Run npx skills add nexscope-ai/Amazon-Skills --skill amazon-profit-analyzer -a claude-code. The skill file lands at ~/.claude/skills/amazon-profit-analyzer/SKILL.md.

What does amazon-profit-analyzer do?

It calculates real profit on an Amazon product: splits revenue into line items, collects every fee and ad cost, and reports net margin and ROI. Then it suggests what to change to improve margin.

What data does the analysis need?

Selling price, COGS, ad spend, ACoS and return rate. Without those numbers the margin comes out incomplete, so have them ready before you start.
