The skill retrieves live financial news, combines trends across multiple platforms, and queries Polymarket prediction markets. It connects to financial platforms such as Weibo, Zhihu, and WallstreetCN to aggregate feeds into unified reports.
Execution relies on scripts/news_tools.py. The NewsNowTools class handles fetch_hot_news and get_unified_trends using source identifiers such as cls or weibo. In addition, PolymarketTools runs get_market_summary to return active market predictions.
Running the scripts requires Python dependencies requests and loguru, along with the local database helper scripts/database_manager.py. Missing packages will break data retrieval before any report reaches the context window.

## Capabilities
### 1. Fetch Hot News & Trends
Use `scripts/news_tools.py` via `NewsNowTools`.
- **Fetch News**: `fetch_hot_news(source_id, count)`
- See [sources.md](references/sources.md) for valid `source_id`s (e.g., `cls`, `weibo`).
- **Unified Report**: `get_unified_trends(sources)`
- Aggregates top news from multiple sources.
### 2. Fetch Prediction Markets
Use `scripts/news_tools.py` via `PolymarketTools`.
- **Market Summary**: `get_market_summary(limit)`
- Returns a formatted report of active prediction markets.
