agentcash — Claude Code skill: paid APIs without keys
This skill lets your agent call x402/MPP APIs and pay per request from a USDC wallet. No API keys, no subscriptions.
npx skills add Merit-Systems/agentcash-skills --skill agentcash -a claude-codeWhat agentcash does
The skill teaches the agent to call paid APIs through npx agentcash@latest. It ships a table of services: stableenrich.dev for people and company search, web search and scraping, stablesocial.dev for social media data, stablestudio.dev for image and video generation, stableemail.dev for email, stablephone.dev for calls, stabletravel.dev for flights, stablebrowser.dev for browser automation. When a task matches one of these origins, the agent skips search and goes straight to discover.
The flow is short. discover <origin> lists endpoints and prices, check <endpoint-url> returns the request schema, then fetch makes the call. Payment settles from a USDC wallet on Base or Solana. Failed requests (non-2xx) cost nothing. Before expensive operations the skill advises checking the balance with npx agentcash@latest balance — video generation can run $1-3 per call.
A zero balance is the usual blocker. The agent will point you to npx agentcash@latest fund, accounts for deposit links, or redeem <code> for an invite code. For services outside the list there is npx agentcash@latest add <origin>, which persists a lightweight skill. fetch-auth still works but is a deprecated alias for fetch; new workflows should use fetch.
What it helps with
- call a paid API without signup or an API key
- check an endpoint's price before spending
- generate an image or video with per-call billing
- pull public data on a person or company
- send an email or place a call from the agent
Example prompts for the agent
- find the CTO's contact at company X via stableenrich
- generate an image of a cat in space via stablestudio
- check my agentcash balance before generating video
